Tenor · Actor · Music Director · Filmmaker
Performer at the intersection of voice, movement,
language, and light.
Who I Am
Born in Syria, trained in Damascus and Sharjah, shaped by every tradition that passed through me — classical Arabic maqam, Western musical theatre, physical movement, and the intimacy of a camera lens.
I am a tenor, an actor, a mover, a Music Director, a vocal coach, a clarinettist, and an emerging filmmaker. I hold a degree in Musical Theatre from the Sharjah Performing Arts Academy / University of the Arts Sharjah, where I also served as Music Director and Choir Conductor of the SPAA Singers.
My work lives in the space between languages — Arabic and English, tradition and experiment, stage and screen.

Tenor with classical training and a contemporary edge. Equally at home in Sondheim, Fairouz, and original Arabic musical theatre.
Trained in Stanislavski, Meisner, Laban, and Viewpoints. Physical storytelling that begins in the body and reaches the audience's chest.
Rehearsal MD, choir conductor, arranger, and vocal coach. From first read-through to opening night, I shape the ensemble's sound.
Cinematographer and director developing an original Arabic-language short film. Steeped in visual storytelling, blocking, and performance-centred directing.
Clarinet (10+ years), guitar, oud, and piano. Multi-instrumental literacy that informs every performance and educational context.
Vocal coach, clarinet teacher, and curriculum designer. Developer of original sight-singing and music theory programmes for conservatoire students.
Stage
Music Direction
As Music Director and Choir Conductor of the SPAA Singers, I led multiple choirs through a full academic calendar of rehearsals, productions, and public performances.
I believe great MD work is invisible — the audience hears the ensemble, not the director. My role is to remove every obstacle between the performers and the music.
I also design original educational resources: a 12-week sight-singing curriculum, music theory mnemonics, and a full-year piano programme tailored for musical theatre performers.

Film
A Syrian journalist returns to Latakia in December 2019, navigating the weight of family estrangement against the silence of a city that has changed — and hasn't.
Based on an original screenplay by Karma Suleiman. Blue is my directorial debut — a love letter to Syria rendered through stillness, candlelight, and the spaces between words.
